How can I book a vehicle?

Where can I pick up a vehicle? 
 
At any CAEL rental stations located in Lisbon, Oporto and Faro.

How much will it cost me to rent a vehicle?
 
Rental rates will vary on make and model. Know.
 
What is included on the car rental rates?
 
The rental rates include insurance against civil liability, collision and vehicle roll-over. Mechanical assistance is also included on the rental rates.
 
What is not included on the car rental rates?
 
Fuel, car parks, car wash, tolls and traffic fines. The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel it had at the beginning of the rental.
 
When do I pay for my rental? 

The reservation is paid at the time that you are submitting it. Reservations are only considered ”confirmed” after the payment. 

Witch credit cards does CAEL accept for payments?
 
Reservations made at Cael´s website, payment methods accepted are VISA, MASTERCAD and Paypal.
Reservations made at the Cael´s stations, payment methods accepted are VISA, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINNERS CLUB e MASTER CARD for the initial deposit as well for additional payments.
 
What do I do in case my rented vehicle breaks down?
 
The road assistance number it’s on your insurance green card. In case of a vehicle break down you should call it immediately.
 
What do I do in case of an accident?
 
Report the accident to local police authorities, for in loco police accident report record. As well as reporting the accident to CAEL within 24 hours of the event. You must also fill in the form of the "Accident Mutual Statement" and submit it to CAEL within five days. And never, in any case, declare yourself guilty of the accident (before the third-party).
 
Can I drive across the border with my rented vehicle?
 
Cross-Border driving is not allowed without prior written consent by CAEL.
